Seeking the best high school teachers to be Master Teachers for our online high school program.
This is a great opportunity for a high school teacher to work from home, but still be involved in the classroom.
Seeking Highly Qualified Teachers in the following subjects:
- Math (high school math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus)
- Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, and Geology)
- Language Arts (English Composition, Literature, and Writing)
- Social Science (Civics, Economics, Government, US& World History, Geography)
- Electives (Spanish, Psychology, Humanities, Sociology, etc.)
Major Responsibilities
• Interact with students online providing instruction
• Bring subject related concepts to life in a virtual setting
• Utilize best practices of instruction and keep up to date with educational trends
• Assess student abilities and achievement
• One to three hours of online teaching per school day
• Track, assess, assign, and grade work through our online high school
• Create custom supplementary work for students
• Communicate with students through online office hours daily
• Use various assessment tools to drive instruction and inform students, parents, school administrators, and online high school director
• Maintain communication with students and parents outside of the instructional day
• Differentiate instruction for gifted and special needs students
• Collaborate regularly with high school team
• Report to 21st Century high school director on a weekly basis
• Generate assessment and progression reports for individual student achievement
Experience Needed
• Bachelors degree in Education required; Masters degree preferred
• Highly Qualified status in subject content area
• 5+ years high school classroom teaching experience
• Proven record of student achievement
• Energetic, must be able to convey personality through webcam
• Technology savvy, previous experience using a webcam a plus
• Self-Directed
• Detailed-oriented
• Hours Vary
